BAND BIOGRAPHY

Divideryello.png

Knorrwood is a cinematic instrumental powerhouse that fuses the raw energy of progressive rock with the epic sweep of world folklore. Formed in 2021 by brothers Wes and Joey Knorr, the duo creates a massive, multi-layered sound that feels more like an orchestral rock outfit than a two-piece. Their music seamlessly blends open acoustic guitar tunings and deep ethnic rhythms with enigmatic vocalizing and ethereal explosions from a theremin. Drawing heavy inspiration from both the classic rock majesty of Led Zeppelin and the legendary fantasy realms of J.R.R. Tolkien, Knorrwood transcends listeners into a vibrant, earthy sonic landscape that is as innovative as it is timeless.

A staple of the Northeast festival and theater circuit, Knorrwood has performed alongside nationally celebrated acts such as Trampled by Turtles, Leftover Salmon, Moe., and Consider the Source. This adventurous spirit is fully embodied in their self-titled debut album, fusing acoustic innovation with dynamic rhythms into an immersive listening experience. Charging ahead, the band spends 2026 touring nationwide with their critically praised "Over the Shire & Far Away" theatrical production, drawing thousands of new listeners into their expanding musical realm.
